  • General Information

    What is Eleven International Publishing?

Eleven International Publishing is a new international legal publishing company, established in October 2003 by Selma Hoedt. Selma is no newcomer to international law publishing, having had a successful career with Kluwer Law International (1990-2001). During that period, KLI developed into the leading global player in the field, and Selma rose to be Head of all KLI's electronic publishing and data management activities.

    What is ELEVEN's aim?

ELEVEN's aim is to support the use of international law by offering high quality and timely publications, initially targetted at lawyers working in legal practice. The first segment of this market to be addressed will be that of lawyers and policy makers working in government departments and ministries, and by their counterparts in international organizations, both governmental and non-governmental. Legal counsels working on questions of Public International Law in transnational corporations will also derive important benefits from the use of ELEVEN's publications.

    What are ELEVEN's subject areas?

The areas of law in which ELEVEN will initially be active are: (i) International Law, (ii) International Environmental Law, (iii) European Law and (iv) Air and Space Law. Such concentration does not, of course, rule out the development of products related to other areas of International Law. ELEVEN's mission is to continue to build long-term author and customer relationships by offering high quality, sustainable information services.

    Search Eleven Online

How can I perform a quick search on the ELEVEN site?

The 'search' on the top of your screen allows for searching the ELEVEN publications and the ELEVEN Online Products (ejlr, space law, pldi). Enter your search query (author or -part of the- title) and submit. The search results are divided into the following sections: 'publications', 'ejlr', 'space law' and 'pldi'. The number in brackets gives you the number of hits for each section. For example:
publications (0) | ejlr (2) | space law (1) pldi (1). If you click on the hyperlinked result, you will get a list of titles that can be ordered alphabetically (by title) or by date.

Please note that when you have entered a complete title in the search screen, the search engine will look for all the individual words in the title, thus returning multiple hits for each individual word. Should you wish to limit the results to the relevant title only, please put your title string between hyphens. Example:
    - Aeronautical Public Correspondence by Satellite -
